Sacred Sounds and Cold Waters: Day 2 of the Fast
December 30, 2024 - Raw notes from the edge of transformation
My system's already humming with energy. You know those days when you can feel something special brewing? Yeah, we're deep in one of those.
[The air still carries traces of incense from my morning practice, weaving with the gentle steam rising from my mushroom broth...]
Let me take you through what's unfolding on Day 2 of this fast/digital detox/transformation journey:
Morning Alchemy
Started the day with tummo practice - holy shit, the inner fire feels different during fasting. It's like there's less... density to burn through? Then straight into some serious gut purification work. For the curious souls out there, here's my special blend for the morning enema cleanse:
Green tea base (temperature specific)
Ancient Chinese herbal blend
Targeted parasite formula
Essential oils: oregano and lemon
Triphala pre-treatment
I know, sounds intense. But when you're working with subtle energies, physical cleanliness creates the foundation for everything else.
Sacred Sound Healing on the Waters
[Just touched my singing bowl again and felt an echo of this morning's ceremony ripple through my palms...]
There's something magical about doing energy work on water. My friend Terry's boat in English Bay became our floating temple for a New Year's ceremony. The star of the show? My ancient Nepalese singing bowl.
This isn't your typical store-bought bowl. You can tell by the carbon scoring - a traditional finishing process that helps maintain its energetic integrity. Seven different metals, each one resonating with a specific chakra frequency. It's been hand-crafted by a family who's been making these for generations.
The really wild part? When you add water to the bowl, the resonance penetrates deeper into the body's tissues. Watching people's reactions as those frequencies hit... some major releases happening there. Had a few people experience what I can only describe as spontaneous energy activations.
The Cold Plunge Revelation
Here's where it gets interesting. After the ceremony, we did a cold plunge off the back of the boat. Now, remember - this is Day 2 of fasting. Conventional wisdom says I should be feeling the cold more acutely. Instead? Not a single shiver. The tantric practices are keeping my inner fire so strong that the cold felt like an embrace rather than a shock.
[Just caught myself grinning at the memory of that first plunge. The body knows things the mind is still catching up to...]
The Night Ahead
As I write this, I'm preparing for a double header - hosting a New Year's Zen ceremony with the community, followed by conscious movement with the Flying Sage crew at their alcohol-free ecstatic dance. Bringing in 2025 in altered states, but not the kind you need substances for.
There's something profound about maintaining this level of clarity during New Year's celebrations. Being able to hold space for others' transitions while remaining in my own transformative container... it hits different.
Tomorrow we transition to water-only fasting. The system feels ready. Clean. Receptive. Like it's been waiting for this.
[The singing bowl just spontaneously hummed on my shelf. I swear these things have a consciousness of their own...]
To anyone out there doing their own version of conscious New Year's celebration - whether you're fasting, dancing, meditating, or simply being present - I see you. We might not be in the same physical space, but we're definitely riding the same frequency.
Still vibrating at singing bowl frequency, Cian
P.S. A note on the enema blend for those interested in subtle body cleansing - the proportions matter. Will share more details once I'm confident in the documentation. Some technologies need to be transmitted with precision. 🌀
